So, yesterday my faithful HTC Desire Z died suddenly and unexpectedly. I always wanted my next phone to be a Xiaomi. So I went to Xiaomi's site only to find that in five days they're launching a new phone "3". And this phone is the same price as their current phone "2". Grrr! I don't want to wait, but it seems I have no choice unless I want to pay full price for last year's phone.
This new phone won't even be made in sufficient quantities by launch date, the website informed me. So instead I had to sign up for a place in line, or something? I did the setup steps and registered with my China Unicom number, but I'm not sure how I'm actually supposed to buy this phone. Does anyone know the details?
