How Can I See The Progress Of The "apply For Unlocking Permissions"

So I bought a Redmi note 3 and I have to apply for unlocking permission. But whenever I follow that link, I just get linked to download of mi Unlock App that says I don't have permission to unlock. I think I applied for unlocking my phone the day I got it, but I am not sure, and I have no idea where to see whether I did it.

But when I log into the Mi Unlock it says "your device isn't supported by Mi Unlock". I am confused, as I have Redmi Note 3...

Install chinese ROM first..

Well, I thought I had to unlock my phone to be able to install a ROM because I have the Redmi Note 3...

You can install Chinese rom just by downloading it to phone rename it to update. And flash it with the phones internal update app. Be sure to get the developer ROM
