How To Flash A Developer Rom In "system-1" Since An Update Happened?

I've updated my stock MiPad once using the MiUi Updater app (current version is v7.5.2.0), so my tablet now boots from system-2 instead of system-1. I verified this by going to the MiPad recovery screen.

I can start the tablet using fastboot and boot it using CWM Recovery, but I'm not sure how to proceed from there. My ultimate objective is to root the tablet, but I've heard that the stock ROM isn't good for rooting, so I want to install the Developer ROM. Now, how can I install the stock ROM in system-1? And then, will I be able to dual-boot into both stock and Developer ROMs and how?

Thanks.

First of all you need a modded recovery wich supports true dual boot (CWM).
But i advice not to use it as it never really worked 100%.
I had my MI3 running with 2 systems for a while but was not satisfied.
As far as i know CWM for Mocha device is able to run true dual boot.
All the MiPad's in my family (3) run latest MIUI8 eu and TWRP recovery.
But if you want to play around with it, there are many advices on XDA Developers forum.
