How To Properly Flash Eu Rom On Redmi 3 Pro?

My friend has a Redmi 3 Pro with China ROM and she will bring it tomorrow so that I can install EU Rom. I did it already on my Mi4c but its been 1 year since so I just wanna be sure. Can someone please provide me with some answers.

She told me that she was granted a code for unlocking bootloader. That means that before I do anything, I need to unlock the bootloader? After I have done that, I want to make a fastboot flash. Which ROM should I use for fastboot flash?

After I am done with fastboot flash can I simply flash the EU Rom or what is the correct procedure? Do I need to install twrp at some point?

hi. i'll sum up the steps i did but you can also start a quick gooogle/forum search to be on the save.
1) backup everything and copy it to SD or computer to be save.
2) log into miui account on the device and reboot in bootloader mode (press volume down + power)
3) start mi flash unlock tool on the pc. log into miui account. connect phone an start unlocking. you need internet connection for the process.
4) install twrp. this seems to work different now so pls google the step. when i did it in 05.2016 i had to install china dev rom to get root for install but i don't know the process for miui 8.
5) boot into twrp and install the xiaomi eu rom you want to use. note: for me twrp was set to chinese at first start so you should check some screenshots to find the right buttons to change language.

i hope this helped you a little but i guess there are many guides here on the forum.

Sorry , but , is there , anywhere ,a step by step tutorial on how to do everything ?
because i never flashed a android cellphone , and i got no clue how to do it .
i jut bought a redmi 3 pro , second hand , cand it's full of porn ads and lots of crap .
would like to put a clean rom on it , but i got no clue where to start from .

i did google-ed what someone said in second post , but i ended up opening like 20 webpages and getting even more confused .

Well. You probably have installed a vendor rom. I suggest you find out first which ROM is installed (android settings --> about device) if your bootloader is locked (i didnt try this myself: http://xiaomitips.com/guide/how-to-check-if-redmi-note-3-bootloader-is-locked-or-unlocked/ (@mods: i hope outside links are allowed)
find out if you already have twrp installed (shutddown device and press volume up and power at the same timr --> it should either start twrp or Miui Recovery. then just say shutdown or reboot system and start normally again)

Also you should check if the preowner created a Mi-account on the phone. i dont know what happens if you flash and want to create a new account.

when you found out the above let us know to further help you out.

If you never actually flashed a rom you should watch some youtube tutorials to get familiar with the general process before starting yourself in the meantime.

There is no way I could get in touch with last owner, because we had a big argue cause of this phone.
When I press the buttons you told me, it says fastboot mode.
I will try to see about the bootloader a little bit later.
