I need it to use Split APK Installer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai&hl=en_US
On app startup it asks to disable miui optimization for appropriate work.
Temporary disabling for some time (5-10 minutes) could also be very helpful in my case.

I'm also trying to disable it once and for all, and the reason is really simple.

If you don't know the internals of MIUI and what "MIUI optimization" affects, then keep it zipped.
I will not tolerate trolling and the spreading of misinformation.
I'm the opposite, I want to turn it ON. I'm using miui.eu 11.0.5 stable on my Redmi K20 Pro Premium Edition and I believe that MIUI optimization is turned OFF. The reason I think it's off is because the battery drain on MIUI.eu seems to be higher than the stock MIUI China and MIUI India roms. Both have decent battery life in comparison to MIUI.eu. Both have the option to toggle on/off MIUI optimization, whereas in MIUI.eu, this option is missing under Developer Settings.
Another reason why I believe MIUI optimization is OFF on MIUI.eu is due to how the apps are managed in the background. I've purposely set a few apps to not run in background, and yet they still run in background. I've set the battery restriction for the app to be restricted, as well as setting the MIUI App Battery Saver for the app to "Restrict background activity". Despite this, the apps still run in background and I still get notifications from them. This was never a problem in the stock MIUI roms. I'm using the same apps, nothing is changed. I believe when you turn off MIUI optimization, this changes the behavior of how the apps are managed in the background.
In the MIUI 11 Stable changelog made by xiaomi.eu, it says this "Optimized RAM consumption" and I'm not sure if that is related to the MIUI optimization changes.
I've also tried running adb shell and using "getprop persist.sys.miui_optimization" to query whether this setting has been toggled or not, but this doesn't return anything. If miui.eu is based on the China rom, then MIUI optimization SHOULD be under Developer Settings, but it's not. Where has it gone?

What you "believe" makes no difference. If you don't see a "MIUI optimization" toggle in Developer options, it means that it's enabled (and hidden so that it won't be touched by users who have no clue what they are doing).

None of the apps should be running in background, but they are. They are set to restricted in the MIUI app battery saver setting. I never have this issue on the official MIUI China or MIUI India roms. Even when I force stop the app, they run in background automatically. They are not set to autostart either.
Also, in official MIUI, there are some apps that can only run in the foreground and not in the background. But in MIUI.eu, they run in background just fine. For example, there's a game I play called Tales of Wind and normally I have to keep it in focus (i.e in foreground) so that it can play properly. If I switch to a different app and let the game run in background, it will just freeze in the game and won't run, until I switch back to the game. i once had to turn miui optimization off to download youtube vanced and now when miui optimization is on ,i face problems when an app has to redirect me to another app.please tell me how i can solve this problem.

You are not using EU rom because you can NOT access to MiuI optimization.
Ask at Xiaomi stock forum.

I agree with Igor Eisberg, and this is what forums are for, to consult with developers and savvy people on the matter to avoid damaging our phones. But, I also agree with Hacker432, everyone is free to do whatever they want with their devices. If he wants to risk it, it's his call. Before using Xiaomi.eu ROM I decided to disable MIUI optimization for a moment to install an app I needed at the time. I enabled it again and nothing happened. I consider MIUI to be too restrictive by default, at such point, that I can't make Google Play Store push notifications. I already disabled battery optimization for it, but there is no way so far that I can Autostart the app. So, what's the point to make a layer so restrictive out of the box ? BTW, any help with this notification issue would be very appreciated

How to turn off MIUI 11 'Turn off MIUI optimization" on Developer Settings?
Use a terminal as example termux and type:
# setprop persist.sys.miui_optimization false
Then you can enable it in developer settings again:

You are both wrong and correct. Sure, it's each user's call what he wants to do with his device. But then, when those users tinker and break something, even without realizing what exactly they did to break it, they come right back here and complain about "bugs" or "missing features". We don't have time for this.

That's the problem - the users don't realize that they did something wrong, and the issues they encounter are vague and hard to point out, making me waste time on looking for the source of it, just to find nothing. Most of them don't even mention that they touched MIUI optimizations.

Do you have any idea why it won't work for me? The command works, and I can verify it via getprop, but the toggle doesn't show up in the developer settings.
I've tried rebooting and I've tried to set it to true and then to false again.
Any ideas? Or alternatively, if someone knows a way to install a xapk file without disabling miui optimization, I'd love to hear about that...

should be because executed the command without super user permissions.
I must say, I totally disagree with the developer here, If I wanted the ROM to decide for me what is or is not good for me I wouldn't even have moved out of the phone's original rom. The user should be free to even brick his phone, let him overclock his phone to 10ghz if he wants to, he bears the consequences, a custom ROM shouldn't try to decide things.
