HTC DHD keeps dropping network connection

Since 1.8.5, my Desire HD ( and others' as I've seen in the DHD forum ) are seeing their mobile network connection drop out. It doesn't recover from this automatically, and you have to force it to reconnect by going into settings ==> mobile network settings ==> network type selection ... and switching to 'only 2g' ... then switching back to '3g preferred'.

Seems to be an issue that has been introduced with 2.3.5, as the same thing happens on CM7 nightlies. I reinstalled a previous version of MIUI and will wait until this is fixed before installing newer versions on my Nexus One.

You can also turn on Airplane mode and then turn it off. That will make it reconnect.
