Hello all. I have recently bought a mi 9t pro, I am trying to unlock the bootloader, I know the warning says it may make the device less secure but xiaomi themselves provide a flash tool for it and I would like to give it a go.
However, I seem to be getting error messages that nobody else has ever encountered.

Create mi account
Add phone to it
Change the appropriate options in the phone, namely use the "mi unlock status" page to "add device"
Boot into fastboot
Load the xiaomi flash program
Sign in to said program
Click unlock
"Unknown Error 3001"

This is the latest error but certainly not the only one, between random "network error" when trying to sign in or "error =5" or the program telling me I need to "add device" after just finishing that process, one program telling me the drivers arent isntalled yet windows telling me they are, the log in page on the unlock tool being blank, the log in page on the unlock tool giving me a chinese error message ( but not the same one that others have screenshot before)...all in all it is already the single most convoluted thing I have ever tried to do and I am not usually one for forums but I have spent far too many days now trying to figure this out but as far as I can tell from my own searching and lurking through approriate forums the problems I am getting are somehow unique to me, which makes it all that much more frustrating.
I have read guides and watched youtube videos and it looks like a simple process, yet when I do exactly what other people do I get error messages that according to google search nobody else has ever mentioned online.

Anybody have any suggestions? maybe im just a moron and I am overlooking something obvious?

PS: I do apologize that this is very whiney, been at this for days and no matter what I do every single attempt gives me an unexplained and so far undocumented error messages so i cant even begin to figure out the cause

Thank you

Try a different cable, also don't use USB3 ports in windows when possible. As a note unlocking my Mi 11 with a Xiaomi cable didn't work in windows. The same cable doesn't have problems in Linux whatsoever.

Thank you, I had already tried all the cables I had on hand but I borrowed some from a friend. Unfortunately considering this is a legal and supposedly simple thing to do the unlock tool is the biggest load of ***** I have ever witnessed. Went home with new cables, turned on my pc, tried to log in to the unlock tool for the first time in about 16 hours and am instantly greeted with "You've exceeded the number of verification attempts allowed within 24 hours ".
Which is yet another problem that makes no sense for 3 reasons
1: The day before, after some of the errors I listed above I was able to log in and still had "2 verification attempts remaining"
2: When I did log in yesterday I clicked the box to "trust this device" and I am now trying to log in from the same device on the same IP
3: It didnt even give me a first attempt, it didnt send me 1 verification code, just instantly locked me out today.

So now , yet again I am unable to proceed because of an issue that makes no sense and this time I also need to wait a full 24 hours before I am even allowed to try and do this seemingly simple task with this phone. Honestly I am starting to think of returning it, it might be a good phone hardware wise but jesus wept is this process obnoxious. What should be a 5 minute task has taken days, given undecipherable errors and caused me more problems and frustration than every other phone I have had combined

Update, opened a return for this piece of absolute dog *****

Dont ask me how, but yet another thing that makes less than zero sense, despite telling me I need to wait 24 hours before next trying to log in to the mi unlock tool the app was still open when I woke my computer after coming home from work and it said I could log in and again said I had "2 verification attempts remaining". I tried to log in, it said it sent me a code, I never recieved one ( and yes I had good signal at the time) and when I tried to click the button to resend verification instead of giving me another attempt it isntantly reverted back to ""You've exceeded the number of verification attempts allowed within 24 hours "

What is the point in the manufacturer of the phone encouraging unlocking them by providing the software to do it but then making that software the single worst program I have ever witnessed in 32 years on this planet? it is utterly retarded. miui is s**t, a phone interface in this day and age that doesnt even have the basic amenity of an app drawer is dumb beyond words and clearly the software is s**t too if this is what xiaomi churn out, an app that is fundamentally ****ed and every time its own piss poor programming causes errors it projects the problems onto the end user and locks you out for absurd and arbitrary amounts of time.

I can send this piece of garbage back, let a refund process, wait for a pixel to come for a decent price ebay, bid, wait the auction out, pay for it, wait 3-4 days for delivery and then unlock that and it would still be a faster process than something that should take no more than 5 minutes with this manufacturer provided "tool"
I now 100% understand why these chinese phones have zero market presence in my country and I will never spend another penny on them ever again, jesus ******* christ this is retarded

https://telegra.ph/Desbloquear-el-bootloader-en-Miui-06-27 Try that tutorial, see if it works for you https://mundowin.com/como-desactivar-la-aplicacion-de-firmas-de-controladores-en-windows-10/ It could be that you had problems with the drivers and the same you would have to reinstall them, if they were the Windows ones, you should take a look at this other link.

i got also the dame problem, did you found any workable solution?

Unfortunately the only way to unlock your bootloader is to use the official Miui Unlock tool, which is running only on Windows OS.
So you have to get a PC with Windows on it.
I'm using Ubuntu, and using any other third party application to unlock the bootloader was unsuccessful, I had exactly same error message "missing service token cookie". In my case I tried to unlock from Ubuntu using: XiaoMiTool V2
So I ended up of using a Windows PC and I had to install the official Unlock tool from Miui site: https://en.miui.com/unlock/download_en.html

Hello,

I bought a Tablet Pad 5 on Aliexpress and for a few days it was working normally.

The fact is that my son is dealing with it, I don't know if he updated it (he has miui 13.0.6 RKXEUXM) and the wifi and bluetooth stopped working. They always appear disabled. You click on activate and after trying for a few seconds they appear deactivated again.

Logically, since this happened shortly after the tablet arrived, I decided to restore it to factory values before complaining to the Chinese on Aliexpress and I think that was my biggest mistake.

After restoring the tablet, the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth remain the same and do not work, so even though it starts up, I cannot assign my account to it. The pad 5 does not have a SIM so I cannot use mobile data and the worst thing is that the bootloader is blocked.

After activating USB debugging, allowing the bootloader to be unlocked, etc., I have tried XiaomiTool V2, Mi unlock, and it always gives an error because I do not have any associated account. And when I try to put my account in My unlock status it says it has no network... I'm in an endless loop and I don't know what else I can try... let's see if someone can help me. I have also downloaded the latest Miui both IM and EU to try to load the rom locally but it also gives an error because although I have it copied locally to the Pad 5 it also tries to connect to the network to check for updates.

Thank you!!

Try an USB-C to RJ45 Ethernet adapter to connect your tablet to Internet, obviously you will need an ethernet cable to your router in order to connect to the network.
For example I have an adapter like that from TP-Link UE300C. This is working with all my Xiaomi phones which I have laying around: Mi 10, Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 13. Also is working with an old Asus tablet too.
That way you can try to associate an Xiaomi account to your tablet.
Unfortunately I don't know if this could help you

You are in the wrong forum here. This is about the Xiaomi.eu CUSTOM ROM, not the CN or Global ROM versions. Another piece of advice: It's better never to buy this type of electronics from Ali Express, but rather from reputable or better-known dealers. This usually saves a lot of trouble with the product.
