Introduction to Xiaomi Eu rol

Hi Everybody. Hope everybody is doing well. So I recently bought a Xiaomi 12s ultra. And was disappointed to see how bad the English support for the phone was a there were alot of Chinese page in the os still. So I have the Chinese phone that comes with hyperos. I have been patiently been waiting where month to unlock The Hyper OS bootloader via the xiaomi Community app. Which I Am understood takes 30 days to be unlocked because you have to be verified via the app. Now to my question I have been exploring and googling a lot the different types of operating systems as an alternative to the hyper OS that Xiaomi ships the phone with. I have read a lot of different versions of the xiaomi Eu Roms that exists. Such as the Thor ROM and I think the hyper OS xiaomi Eu rom. As a complete beginner to the xiaomi EU software. Would love an introduction from somebody more experienced than me in this field that could recommend which OS to install via the xiaomi EU Rom. And just a general introduction to this thing with the xiaomi Eu ROM. Would love if someone could link a forum or maybe explain more about the subject because I kind of don't have an idea what I'm doing which kind of scares me from using the xiaomi Eu ROM. I'm looking for a xiaomi ROM alternative that comes with the Swedish language and support for Google pay and all that stuff. Thanks for all the recommendations and introductions best regards.

Thor is the codename for your phone. There is only one Xiaomi.eu ROM (unless you choose to install an older version).

You will not be able to unlock the bootloader on this device, Xiaomi has blocked CN hyperOS and MIUI devices.

Hi so sorry to misinterpret the whole concept. I meant threads of course. If any threads could be linked to any sort of tutorials of how to install the Xiaomi Eu rom for my specific phone the Xiaomi 12s ultra and different type of roms and so on. So the gap for errors could be minimal when installing the Xiaomi Eu rom could be minimal. As I really have no Idea what I am doing any tutorial or link to any tutorial would be appreaciated. But I will check out the thread you linked thanks alot.

- The first thing you need to do is unlock the bootloader.
The problem is that you have purchased the Chinese version.
You can't do anything without an unlocked bootloader.

I have been a Xiaomi phone user for a long time. I have never liked the xiaomi factory roms, so early on I found Xiaomi.eu and their wonderful set of roms. They take the Chinese rom and debloat it so no more chinese apps, plus they tweak it extensively. Search around this site, somewhere they list what it is exactly they do to the roms.

As stated, you must unlock your boot loader through Xiaomi's laborious technique. Once that is done you are good to go. The first thing you should do is find and download the most recent TWRP version for YOUR phone and install it. Then you can download and install the Xiaomi rom for your phone and easily install it using the TWRP recovery.

Download and install the most recent version, 3.7.1.

I have the 12s Ultra and 3.7.1 is the TWRP version I am using. It works fine. Do not be alarmed by the Chinese on the splash page.

Click on STABLE ROMS above and find the most recent release for THOR. Download and install using TWRP.

Hopefully, that will get you started.

EDIT: Apparently, the STABLE ROMS above is only listing MIUI versions, which are no longer being updated for THOR.
Looks like you will need to go into HYPER OS WEEKLY ROMS above if you want the latest and greatest.
