I have installed a few themes that show iphone style mms app, but on my phone they do not show.... Is there an apk that I should be using?

No, it should automatically. Try just setting the messaging theme, not the entire one

I have been having the same issue and what I found was that 1) what device and software version are you running and 2) alot of the themes have to be updated for the mms and SMS theme to work.
