Is it possible to replace lockscreen shortcuts?

Hi, I'm looking to having my HTC EVO as a portable media player only so I was wondering if it's possible to change the lockscreen to reflect that since I wouldnt be using phone and sms.
is it possible to change the shortcuts?
anyone kind enough to help me to achieve this?

That's an expensive media player you will be carrying around XD. Anyways, I assume you are talking about changing the app these shortcuts open when dragged? I don't think you can change that. You can swap them out for another SMS or dialer app, but that's about it as far as I can tell. If you mean the icons, you can swap them via theming. Some themes use transparent icons (expl, the honeycomb theme), so you could "hide" the SMS and Phone icons.
