After some waiting eventually I have been able to unlock my MI8 bootloader. What now?
I am on Global 10.2.2.0 (btw, can't sort out MIUI numbering scheme, but anyway...). I would like to install TWRP and Magisk, for root, VIPER/DOLBY ATMOS and some ADBlock. Maybe in the future try some custom ROM.
As of now I understood that:
- Remaining on Global I won't be able to keep TWRP installed.
- there is some weird anti rollback protection which could brick my phone if i flash a ROM "lower than" my actual one.
Is that right?
I have read https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/mi-8-rom-install-instructions.46902 .It is plain and clear, but it is mentioning some older version of the ROM: . Which "stable enough and up to date" miui.eu ROM can i flash on my phone? And is that the correct procedure?
...And some extra: anyone using VIPER/ATMOS here?
