Keep Background Processes Running

I have a Redmi Note 2. It happens to me quite often that I am talking on Skype or Viber and then I'm using Facebook or Chrome or other app that it's a bit resource consuming and after a couple of minutes Skype or Viber that run in background are being killed, even though I seeem to have enough free memory (3-400 MB).

My question is: is this a MIUI or Android problem and how can I prevent Skype or Viber from being automatically shut down while they're running and I'm having a call?

Skype is already locked and still gets closed, Viber was not, I will try it and reply later if it gets closed
