Language change on miui ?

i used to have miui on my sgs2 and when i was typing something on its keyboard i could easily change language by swiping the space bar key from side to side
now on my new s3 i have to long press the space bar and choose from a pop up windows the language i want, is this something i can change back ? is there a way i could change between languages like i used to on my s2 ?

btw i currently have miui 2.9.21 and about to install 2.9.28

its very sad theres no replys or hardly any views
but to those who also looking for solution - just install Swiftkey 3
its a very good keyboard which among plenty other thing allows you to change language by sliding on the space bar key
