Invalid Maps crash on mi5

Hi, I have a mi5 and with the last two releases it is no longer possible to use Google Maps on navigation, It crashes or freeze.
Do you have any solutions? Thank you

"Google maps freezes on "Start" problem?

This has been a problem for several versions for Mi Mix1 and Mi Note 2 also.
Someone posted a logcat a few versions back.

All sd 821 phones of the same generation.

Someone wrote there that they even have this problem with a Samsung Note 9.

Can't reproduce this on MI 5. Navigation using Google Maps works perfectly here, hence not our issue.

Same on Mix1 & Note 2:

Works sporadically - sometimes every time, sometimes never, sometimes half the time

Will always work for "pedestrian".

Dastardly sabotage by the Greens?

Same problem here. Try to erase cache data, it works for me.

So many users have this problem. Maps is a very useful application, as it is possible that the team does not solve this bug.
Instead of putting out unnecessary features and ending support for mi5 ... Can not concentrate on solving important things? For them it is better to churn out identical phones every month. Only to sell.

Since miui is no more supported on mi5 I installed pixelexperience 9 on it from XDA. All works fine including many things broken on miui since a while. It is important to take November release and not the latest that have lag issues.
My mi5 have never been so fast, much closer to my OP5.

The battery is very good, better as per my use:
Waze, coyote, polar bear, music, youtube.
Also installed *no-support-for-this-app-on-this-forum* for better shots.

If I do not solve, I have to do it too. Does the battery last longer?
