Hello.
Yesterday my Mi 11 Ultra suddenly stopped producing any sounds.
I cannot hear any voice calls, music, ringtones, notifications, youtube sounds, the phone speaker is just totally silent.
The mic keeps working.
The sound works OK through bluetooth headphones.
So there must be something with the speaker.
A reset to factory settings didn't help.
My MIUI is 12.5 | V12.5.12.0 RKACNXM.
Do you think it is a 100% hardware issue? Can it be reparable?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello
Hey same happened with me today... Any solutions??
Hello, I digged a lot since I wrote that post. The CPU of Xiaomi Mi11 Ultra is known for its overheating. It is specifically dramatic when the phone is being wirelessly charged or simply when the CPU is heavily charged with some tasks. In addition the termal paste responsible for the cooling of the CPU isn't always placed correctly in this phone which doesn't allow the CPU to cool efficiently enough.
After some time it causes the unsoldering of the legs of the CPU from the motherboard of the phone and hence a poor contact between some legs of the CPU and the motherboard. In its turn this can cause malfunctioning of the phone including the unability to play sounds or, for example, the loss of Wi-Fi connection even in the conditions of strong Wi-Fi signal. Some times the normal functioning is back but then the problem repeats again.
What can be done? There is nothing an owner can do himself if he is not a phone reparation professional.
Many workshops will also refuse to touch the CPU. Instead they will try to persuade a user to replace the speaker for example which won't solve the problem.
But some phone reparation workshops can solder the CPU back to the motherboard. There aren't too many of them. This can solve the problem at least for a while. Few workshops can improve the cooling circuit of the CPU sending its heat onto the body of the phone for example. The phone will feel hotter but the CPU itself will be colder. I have found one workshop which did that work for me. It costed ~150 USD, the reparation took 2 days. For a couple of months the phone works without an issue now.
The problem is that this workshop is in Russia so this is obviusly not a solution for everyone in the world. I for example have some friends who took my phone there with them and brought it back to me. Depending on where you are you have to search for a workshop which will be capable to do it for you.
