New Mi 8 SE(Miui 12 stable) PiP not working properly will full screen gestures

it used to be broken in miui 10 and it was fixed in miui 11 but its broken again in miui 12. when i swipe up on the full screen gestures it doesn't open pip anymore i have to open a notification to make it work and even then i cant move it unless the keyboard pops up.
