the reason the redmi phones multilang ROMs are based in stable version is that's the only versions available, there are no developers ROM for the redmi phones.

Yeah i found that out, maybe it was a good thing to also have it for mi3, but it was already explained that translations are already based on 4.4 so no way back possible. than again all this is offered free so really can tcomplain about it. Just gratefull to the whole community and xiaomi for building this amayzing handset.
Also latest 4.6.20 got pretty good results so for me, now its fine. I much rather have my own language and an optimized phone than staying behind and having just good benchmarks. Its time to finally start using this device and let it settle in..well atleast till next week and updating again and again and again..It all is very cool but weekly is a bit to much for me, monthly is fine, unless it had bugs offcourse..

I plan on getting a mi3 soon, where did you find the Singapore and Malaysian firmware? It would be nice to have a good English ROM with play store already set up.

Easy one,
Go to Miui.com than downloads..select mi3 and above there are tabs to select the versions..any mi3 wcdma should work on the device so let's say you ordered a China mainland wcdma , than both Singapore and Malaysian firmware works as well.
Download the zip file and please make update of all important stuff, than put the zip in on your phones storage where you can find it later. Get into settings and system update than after a search ,press menu button and select the zip file as the update file.
Let it process the update and best is to reset to factory after the update is done..
Important note is that at the moment all stable firmware is at 4.3 jellybean, multi Lang is 4.4.2 KitKat. Downgrading won't be possible so from KitKat to jellybean first need to flash stock China ROM by Miflash tool.
But coming out of the box you should be fine..and please order from a honest store, lots of clones on alibaba etc..I went for ibuygou and got it within 3 days..

hi, i just upgraded my Mi3 from Jellybean to KXDCNBE 17.0 Kitkat and my antutu score dropped considerably from 33K-35K to 23K. could someone help me out what seems to be the problem? Thanks in advance.
I don't know what antutu is that, but neither one of the phones in the last screenshot doesn't score that much. 44.000+ it's mi4 territory.
Whats about the score? around 44k with latest antutu version is capable! only dont measure score between ddifferentantutu versions! cuase some former version gave more like around 35/36K scores..My Oneplus scores over 47K sometimes close to 51K, thats the newer mi4 territory as well!i got this score! I dont know why... Im not doing anything to my mi3
Yes its a good contender and also very affordable, but mi3 is nothing to be ashamed off and besides all the benchmarks, mi3 has the best camera and screen! Oneplus is a bit better mainly because of the translations and the rom being based on stock android! Its the one reason that won me over to get it! other than that id probably still be using my mi3 or gettting the newer mi4
