Hi all,

Iam updating my Mi5 regularly to the latest weekly version. Since some versions I get the following error message, when I boot the device. Sometime it appears a 2nd time. But everything works as expected and I can't see any missing Imei or something!? Is this a known bug?

Many thanks in advance !

Best regards

I tried a lot.

This is the way how I finally fixed it.

1. In twrp create a backup without selecting the checkboxes for boot and system.

2. Then make a clean install without rooting it ( so do not flash the SuperSU file yet ).

3a. At this point you start with a fresh version of whatever android version was installed.
3b. Verify that Sim1 and Sim2 work as expected. Do the same for both IMEI numbers.

4. Now you need to go to the recovery and use twrp to restore the backup you made earlier.

5a. Check that all looks fine ( except there is no root yet).
5b. To be safe, make another back up you can revert to (in case the root attempt fails for some reason).

6. Flash the newest SuperSU (I downloaded SR4-SuperSU-v2.82-SR4-20170918204844.zip from this location: http://download.chainfire.eu/1216/SuperSU/SR4-SuperSU-v2.82-SR4-20170918204844.zip ).

7. Check again and confirm all is well :)

Please like me, if this helped you in any way.
Thank you.
