Resolved MI8 SE - 20.9.3 - APN Bug (com.android.phone)

Hello,

I have problems to add/modify/delete APN settings. The com.android.phone is always crashing.

This is a fresh install and the phone is clean, no app data, no sd data, no cache (factory reset). After 3 factory resets I give up.

When the com.android.phone crashes this is the error:

FACTORY RESET has never been a FRESH INSTALL.
Read installation instruction first page for clean installation.

After remove my device from Mi Account, I enter in TWRP > Wipe > Advanced Wipe, then I select:
- Dalvik / ART Cache
- System
- Data
- Internal Storage
- Cache

From mounted USB Drive I copy the ROM to Internal Storage and in TWRP > Install > ***.zip

After configuration I have this problem...

This is a FACTORY RESET? More cleaner imposible..

I can confirm this on gingko as well, to recreate search for APN in Settings, click on the triangle at a given APN

Solved the issue... installed rom from 20.8.25, added the apn and updated via OTA

Well yes, the APNs work if you have them from before,it is just that you can't edit them or add one in the latest weekly.

Unfornatunely it's MIUI China issue. Probably will they fix it next week, but I'm not sure will they release any fix for EOL devices...
Edit: have you tried 20.9.4?
Edit: It's fixed on 20.9.4 for EOL devices, the rest have to wait for next week.
