MIUI backup

Something is changed...

Why backup contact?
It is dangerous with gmail for duplicate contact.

It is usefull only call history ,sms and layout.....
What do you think?

I agree that could be dangerous for duplicates...but you can choose do not backup contacts

I did a backup for contacts, call hist, sms, layout etc and it worked well.
(I cannot say same things for app backup............ I backupped 40 apps and it restored only 5...... LOL )

Ok but i can't backup and restore ONLY sms, or only call history.
On previous version it was possible.

After MIUI contact restore i was no more able to sync contact with google.
Sync error...

sorry mate, I can no more help you because yesterday I deleted backup app.
My advise it to backup sms using this : http://www.appbrain.com/app/sms-backup-restore/com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore and backup apps using Titanium backup : http://www.appbrain.com/app/titanium-backup-★-root/com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
They works well without bad surprises as miui built-in backup app...

Yeah your solution is mine solution.
smsbackup and titanium.

But for future version of miui it will be great a better backup software.

I don't know what you guys are complaining about. I always use MIUI Backup, and I never get duplicate contacts. The only problem I have is that it doesn't properly backup the apps in .android_secure, but I get around that by moving them to internal storage first. In fact, after I figured out that workaround for sdcard apps, I uninstalled Titanium, and I haven't looked back since.

In new version of miui backup you can't backup and restore SMS and CALL LOG without restoring contact in the same time.
In version before 1.1.21 you can backup and restore SMS and CALL LOG alone.

??? Yes, you can. In the actual new version, SMS and MMS are a different backup from both Contacts and Call Records.

You must be talking about last week's version, which has the problem you're talking about:

Ok you are right....i'm talking of 1.1.21 version
1.1.28 on my LIQUID has some problem.

So in 1.1.28 backup MIUI can backup SMS and CALL.
