Miui camera can't connect

Hi!

So I installed miui for my droid x2 a month ago and have not been able to get the camera to work since.
When I try opening the camera it says "Can't connect to camera" and kicks me out. And it won't let me change the settings, as I've read the preset resolution tends to make the camera not work.

I've tried installing several different camera apks (older miui cameras, cm7 camera) but to no avail, and I just bought camera zoom but that says "failed to connect to Android camera". I've wiped my cache and the camera data in Titanium but that didn't work either.

Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Do a fresh install of the ROM see if that helps.

Thanks for the response. I'll try that, but is there a way that I can back up all my apps, folders, and settings so that I can import them easily after I do a fresh install. I know I can do a nandroid backup but then it would reverse the new install.
