Mobile data not working in 1.11.25

On my HTC desire if I have wifi on for a while, once wifi is turned off again the phone will not pick up a mobile data signal. This persists even after a reboot.

Have tried peeking at the apn settings, but I get "Process com.android.settings has stopped unexpectedly".

I have exactly almost the same problem here... (no error message though) The only way I found to solve this (at least for a while, till I reconnect to my WiFi at home) is to activate the plane mode then deactivate it...

Looking for an idea here... Did you find a way to permanently solve this issue?

Fyi, I'm running MIUI 2.2.17

As stated the issue is with Xiaomi at the moment, i will continue to put some pressure on them to look at this for us.
