MOVE FROM STABLE RELEASE TO WEEKLY(?

Hello; I was wondering if you could tell me how to move from a stable release to a weekly rom.
Do I have to factory reset? Or can I just install it on top my actual rom (satble 8.1, weekly 9.0)?

Even if it would be possible to move without erasing data, i would not recommend. Do a clean install of new android version. I can recommend weekly rom, i have not seen a bug for a long time.

Already tried this before, it can boot back to the desktop, however with a few annoying glitches and a few apps force closes. Better do a clean install.

You if I need to install like a special 9.0 recovery or something? Or if I need to do something special during the installation, or I just wipe and then install?
