In Progress [N-S/ICS]brightness down too much !

Hello,
Since v2.3.30 on nexus s.
When I use my phone outdoor, in auto-adjustment brightness mode, brightness down too much and I need to lock/unlock my phone to have more brightness!
I neever had this problem before (2.23)

So auto brightness doesn't seem to be working?

Was it working on previous versions?

I don't get this problem indoor, only outdoor with lot of light...
it work perfectly on previous version...
