Need help to get Data Connection working

My problem is I have no 3g icon or any data connection. I can make phone calls and receive messages. My apn is correct. I was wondering what I could do to fix this? any help would be great. I have a htc desire cdma.

MIUIv4? Or 2.3?
On CDMA you should change CDMAdataconnectiontracker.smali in com/android/internal/telephony (framework.jar).
