Hi, well I have no clue. Looks like adb is off. I asume you have all the needed tools on your pc. Like adb, drivers etc.
I hope someone here can help you out.

Otherwise I have a Mi 9 SE for you.

Hello,
Today I updated my 9se to 21.01.20 with recovery-TWRP-3.3.2B-0301-XIAOMI9SE-CN-wzsx150.img, that worked fine.
Unfortunate I was not able to install magical with this twrp.
Then I installed [grus][recovery] TWRP-3.4.0-2-Mi9SE. after this I was only able to boot into fastbooot ( no recovery no system possible).

Now I have the problem that I cannot install another trow or an fastbooot ROM. The phone ditches of as soon as I want to connect with my pc.

Can anybody help me?

As I did a reset it looks like usb debugging is not activated jet.

Thanks in advance
Hello,

Please follow this and feedback => https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/21-1-13-14.59414/post-585334

according to @DarkoPhantom
you should use an old twrp TWRP-3.3.2B-0301-XIAOMI9SE-CN-wzsx150.img

I installed as recommended "TWRP-3.3.2B-0301-XIAOMI9SE-CN-wzsx150.img"
In TWRP:
Format data
Reboot to Recovery
Copy xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_21.1.6_v12-11.zip from PC
Wipe (factory reset)
Install xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_21.1.6_v12-11.zip
Wipe cache and dalvik
Reboot system
Everything was great!!! (call, wi-fi no problem...)
Reboot to Recovery
Install Magisk-v21.2.zip
Reboot system
It took a little longer to install the Magisk Manager (There was one reboot and I reinstalled Magisk Manager)

Hi All,

I followed some of the above steps, and it worked for me.
I installed as recommended "TWRP-3.3.2B-0301-XIAOMI9SE-CN-wzsx150.img"
In TWRP:
Format data
Reboot to Recovery
Copy xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_21.1.28_v12-11.zip from PC
Wipe (factory reset)
Install xiaomi.eu_multi_MI9SE_21.1.28_v12-11.zip
Reboot system

Note that first boot takes a few min...

I did not install magdisk

hello,

is there actually a final solution for installing the android 11 roms?

I still have not updated to android 11 (still on 20.12.9)

I read almost in every weekly rom update about problemens when updating.

There are so many solutions but is there a final one?

Now a lot of questions ;)

Is there a chance to dirty flash from 20.12.9 to 21.2.3?
Without wipe/format data?

Which recovery is the right one?
I read here many (im on redispade twrp-3.4.0-2grus.img)
TWRP-3.3.2B-0301-XIAOMI9SE-CN-wzsx150.img
twrp-3.5.A9-grus-geoanto555.img
twrp_grus_MI9SE_3.5.A9_15-01-2021_bl-l_fix_install.img (can't find a working download link anymore)

Can I flash it directly via the twrp or do i now always have to boot the recovery(and which one?) via fastboot for a working update?

Is it still necessary to flash the vbmeta additionally like this?

fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img

I really want to to do the update but if possible without a clean flash and without bricking my phone ;)

thanks in advance for your answers.

Use this one:

Always boot into TWRP, don't flash it. It works for me, it can decrypt and I have a pin set as lock screen.
After that just flash it as always

The official TWRP developer just said he has dropped the project.
so there will never be an offical installable working TWRP?
maybe one of the xda developers?

ok thanks.

With this way i can dirty flash because its able to decrypt data?
Is it still necessary to flash the vbmeta additionally?
Which recovery I have installed does not matter when I boot another via fastboot?

Did anyone yet managed to get twrp working like before a11?

I mean right now, after every update or if I'd like to install/uninstall magisk, I need my pc to flash/boot recovery via fsstboot to get system decrypted.. Otherwise it's always rebooting to fastboot...

Cheers

Hi,

same for me.

I´m on latest geoanto recovery but the installed version wont decrypt (unlock method 3x3 pattern)
Only recovery boot over fastboot decrypt.

And i have to flash vbmeta with
"fastboot --disable-verity --disable-verification flash vbmeta vbmeta.img"
after every rom update to not get in bootloop.

Desaster

I am using geoanto's twrp_grus_MI9SE_3.5.A9_15-01-2021_bl-l_fix_install (https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=323030) without any problem since it was published. I flashed 3 last weekly ROM's and Magisk with TWRP recovery normally. I had bootloop problems with 12.5 ROM at the beginning but with a clean install and using the mentioned TWRP I solved that issue.

Will try this recovery with 21.3.3/5 update.
I thought these changes were included in the latest recovery.

So you dont have to flash vbmeta after flash?

Maybe i have to do a clean flash. I´m dity flashing since... ever ;)

As I mentioned I managed to install A11/MIUI12.5 with clean install in January only . Before that I had done everything to process without format data no success. I spent days trying the suggested solutions, but none helped. Since the clean install using geoanto's TWRP I install ROMs and Magisk normally from TWRP recovery (without vbmeta/fastboot and others).

1. Installed twrp_grus-MI9SE_3.5.A9_07-03-2021_d-bl.img from https://androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=323030 while still on Android 11 latest beta rom
2. Uninstalled Magisk
3. Cleared Caches
4. Installed 21.3.5 dirty
5. Removed Cache again
6. Reboot, login
7. Reboot to Recovery with pin
8. Installed latest Magisk
No issues so far (except UX ones that I'm dealing with but that's different topic)
Didn't try GPay or flashing anything else yet
