Hi everyone!
I'm here to report a bug or a change on how permissions work with some apps. I own two phones:
x13 CN:
- Unlocked bootloader
- Flashed with Xiaomi.eu in 2023
- Upgraded for the last two years with every new release of Xiaomi.eu ROM up to OS3.0.303.0.WMCCNXM. For OS3.0.308.0.WMCCNXM I went with a clean install.
No issue with permissions in DAVx5 until the clean install, after which I cannot enable all the permissions and I have a feeling a flag has changed somewhere and was persisting through upgrades but got removed by the clean install. Here are the permissions in question:
"All of the below" and "Jtx Board permissions" cannot be toggled.
x15 CN:
- Locked bootloader
- Original CN ROM version OS3.0.303.0.WMCCNXM
This phone has the same issue but I assumed it had something to do with its chinese origin and had made my peace with it, but now I wonder. Here are its permissions:
"Keep permissions", "All of the below", "Jtx Board permissions", "Tasks permissions" cannot be toggled.
A friend has a global x17 and does not have this issue:
In all 3 cases, DAVx5 and JTX were installed from the F-Droid store, if that's relevant. Has something changed on the chinese ROM upon which Xiaomi.eu ROMs are based recently?
@hw-schrauber I saw you had some issues with DAVx5 that looked like mine as well so I took the liberty to tag you, I hope that's ok.
