I'm having problems with my new Xiaomi MI2S (genuine as far as I can tell). Regularly, the phone shuts down and won't restart. The only way to fix it is to remove the battery and put it back in. After that, the phone starts up as usual again.

The problem only seem to get more frequent. To me, it seems like it simply can't get any power as putting it in the charger doesn't do anything. However, the battery seem to be in place, so I'm not sure it's simply the battery being loose.

Has anyone else had similar problems and is there a known fix?

Maybe the battery is dead?

Hi, no, the battery works and charges as usual. The shutdowns can occur both with full and low battery. It's the act of removing and putting the battery back in that makes the phone to start again, not charging it.

There's a lot of clever people here that could help, I'm in way over my head here. But run a logcat and post the result here, your chances of figuring out what is causing this will increase..

Have you tried flashing another ROM w/ another kernel? I'm assuming you're running everything as it came right..?
