Invalid Pocket mode returns "don't cover earphone area" message

Hi, I'm on the last beta 9.11.17 on Mi 8 and, when 'Pocket Mode' is enabled, I'm getting the "don't cover earphone area" message .

This happens only when I'm tryin' to do something really quick right after unlocking the phone. It doesn't happen when I wait just 1 or 2 seconds, before starting to use it.

Never happened to me before.

Everything is fine when pocket mode is disabled.

Not seeing how this is a bug. Pocket mode relies on your proximity sensor. If it's defective or lagging, there's nothing we can do about it. Don't cover the upper region of the screen.

Well of course the upper region was uncovered. Anyway, I got rid of this issue - that at first really looked like a bug - with just a reboot.
