Problem with 4.4 call audio with headset

Hi everyone!

I have this annoying problem with every 4.4 ROM on my mi2s:

With wired headset connected to the phone, in a call, I can hear what people are saying but they can't hear me at all. I always have to unplug the wired headset in order to talk to my counterpart.

Anyone have a clue about this?

I face the same issue with MIUI as well.
The earphones I connect do not have a mic , but my older used to pick up voice from the phone mic when placed closer to the mouth.

So when I connect them on MIUI, I can hear them, but the phone expects voice from the 3.5mm port
