[Q] MIUI Online Backup

Hello,

I just registered a Xiaomi account to use the online backup feature. I used my Gmail address to register on passport.xiaomi.com. However, when I try to connect to online backup using the MIUI Backup app, I get the following error:
"your xiaomi account has not been bound with any email address".
When I login on Xiaomi, it says my account is bound with *******@gmail.com.

Does anyone know how to solve this? I use Miui 2.4.20 Gingerbread on a GT-I9100

I think you have to try to log into miui.com as well.

If that doesn't work, go to Accounts and Sync. Tap Xiaomi and there is a confirm email button. I wasn't allowed to use online MIUI backup until that was done.

Thank you your quick reply. My account was already confirmed, but your suggestion worked. I deleted the account in Accounts and Sync. After I deleted the account I re added it and now it works! Thanks for the support

Signing up on Xiaomi.com, then signing into the account on the phone worked first time for me.

You mean, deleting xiaomi account on the phone, logging in from the website and then adding the account again in the phone?

Yeah, just delete it from Accounts & Sync. The secret is signing into the account just once on MIUI.com
