my uncle got a redmi note 4 with band20 / sd625 on current official stable rom. he got a problem with audio in video recording what seems to be a normal problem for any xiaomi phone due noise cancellation. there is a fix which needs a rooted phone build.prop editing. I want to install twrp / root but it's unclear if I need to be on the beta rom to do so and if the phone gets reseted while doing it. do you know if it gets a factory reset?
when it gets a factory reset and he needs to go through the hassle of installing everything again, I might aswell install xiaomi.eu rom. now the question, got the xiaomi.eu rom this audio problem fixed or do I still need to do the build.prop editing?
