Redmi 4, Bootloader Lock

I have a Xiami Redmi 4 since a while it is runnin MIUI Global 8.2 Stable, 8.2.13.0.0 (MCECNDG) but since like 6 months no updates has arrived for me, i check and the bootloader is locked, and i see now that MIUI 9 is avaible, wich procedure i need to update this little guy.

1- Unlock bootloader
2- Twrp recovery
3- Flash new rom.
????????????

Or there is another way to do it the officialy way that way i can get OTA updates?

Pd: Already tried to unlock the bootloader and this happens "Your device isn't supported by Mi Unlock"

You need developer rom version for unlocking.

Can you explain what i need to do?
How can i put a rom without unlockin the bootloader first?

If you want the xiaomi.eu rom you NEED to unloch the bootloader.
If you just want to update to higher MIUI version just download global stable or china developer rom from xiaomi website, you can flash them without unlocking.

Yes the original xiaomi roms via updater app. First download the file from the website.

Yes, chinese or global rom does not matter, but need to be developer version.

Google instructions, need to login Mi account, bound device etc...
