Hi there, I've a Redmi 4X Global Version (see the pictures attached) and it did get 4G on the second slot (nano) as soon as I turned it on, I managed to switch the 4G signal from the 2nd slot (nano) to the 1st one (micro) entering the test mode (*#*#4636#*#*) it wasn't enough just setting gsm only and LTE preferred from the SIM settings.

After I switched the phone off cause it was a Christmas present. When I turned it on again (the 25th) the phone didn't get any 4G signal nor in the 1st slot neither in the 2nd.
I've tried every band in the test mode (*#*#4636#*#*) and nothing seems to work, moreover it seems that when I enter the test mode again the settings are back to lte/td-scdma/umts for both SIMS even if I choose a different band.

I am with Vodafone UK so LTE is 800MHz (Band 20) and 2600MHz (Band 7, Band 38) and according to the Gearbest website picture attached below (I cannot post links on this forum yet) the phone is compatible with my carrier's frequencies.

I've attached all the screenshots and pictures to show you if the phone is original or fake and the settings I have.

I hope someone can help me out with this.

Regards

I have the same phone, also with Vodafone. This happened to me a while ago, and I managed to restore LTE by deleting all the APNs except for "Vodafone UK".

Hi, I don't think the APNs are the issue, I'll try your advice anyway.
I've managed to get LTE by choosing the network manually and selecting 4G instead of 3G.
Unfortunately if for any reason I turn off the phone when it reboots I lose 4G signal again and I have to choose 4G manually once more, this also happens if I enter an area where 4G signal is absent and the phone automatically connects to 3G or H+, it never goes back to 4G even if the signal becomes available.

For what I see the issue is that even if I choose "LTE preferred" and I manually select 4G network the phone gives priority to 3G or H+ signal and never connects to 4G automatically even with strong 4G signal available.

It would be nice to understand why.
What do you think?

P.S.: Do you have 1 or 2 SIMs ? Do you have 4G on the firs or second slot? (Micro or Nano slot?)

I'm using the primary sim slot, the other contains an SD card. My phone wouldn't connect to LTE at all, even when set to 'LTE only' in test mode.

Mine too, the only way for me to make it work is to select manually the 4G network but sometimes it goes back to 3g or H+.
I'll try with leaving only 1 APN settings and then I'll let you know the results.

Could you please be so nice to post your APN settings?
