Hi Community,

Since Yesterday i have the redmi note 11 and I`m shocked that it only ist having SBC and aptX!!! I installed a Tool to check Codecs and this is confirming SBC and aptX!
Switching in dev mode to LDAC is Not working.

Before i Had Oppo A16 and this was turning LDAC automatically in Same device.

So question, any chance getting LDAC installed ?

Otherwise i have to send back the Phone.

Thanks all!

Yeah, very dissappointing the Note 11 does not have any hi-res bluetooth codecs on board. My 4 year old Samsung A50 has them all.

The weird thing by the way is that LDAC is present in the developers options, but if you select it it switches back to Aptx.

I have understand in the meantime that more expensive Xiaomi phones do support Ldac and Aptx-HD.
So it's the same as with the Always On Display. Xiaomi ditches certain basic Android features to annoy the Redmi Note owners so you buy a more expensive phone next time.

Found on Google: LDAC's source code is part of the Android Open Source Project, and it should be available on any phone sporting an Android Oreo 8.0 operating system and above.
