New Redmi note 12s 5ghz wifi connection not available

I have a Redmi note 12s whose hardware should allow it to connect to 5ghz yet I am unable to even see 5ghz wifi.
Do you guys think It might be a hardware problem because I was able to connect to it for a short period like in the image below or will switching the ROM fix this problem. second image is the one I usually see

will watch this thread as i started to have similar problem, with that difference, that i do have 5GHz at home and redmi12 can see and connect it only when i am not more than 1 meter away from the router. I hope this is some software bug that will be resolved.
