Long time MIUI user here, since this week I am seeing other people's pictures appear in my Mi cloud gallery. The folders have long names with seemingly random strings. DG52D-GDG24-DSG23 like that.
I have emailed Xiaomi and they just told me to make a new Mi account. They do not seem to care about this issue at all. I find this response both unsettling and lazy. They provide no explanation as to why other people's images are synced with my Mi cloud account. They did not investigate anything. All they do is tell me to create a new account (with all data loss involved).
There is clearly a security issue with the Mi cloud. Why else would I suddenly see other people's photos? It is now clear to me that Xiaomi does not care about our security or privacy at all. This is very disappointing.
Does anyone here have answers to why this happened or maybe it has happened to you too!
