New SMS app crash on Xiaomi 15 with OS3.0.6.0.WOCCNXM_16.zip

I just installed the latest HyperOS 3 version for Xiaomi 15. I did windows_install_upgrade.bat from HyperOS 2, also Xiaomi.eu version. Now the SMS app crashes immediately after opening with the following error in the picture.
Any suggestion, how to fix this? Thanks

For anyone facing the same issue: deleting the SMS app's cache and wiping data (messages were not deleted) seems to solved the problem
