[TWRP][OFRP][PBRP] List of relevant recovery in one place

Nice noticing it, but why would somebody update from updater and not use a download manager? :emoji_laughing: (I know, one can easily answer this...) Though who would trade a finally ~very well working twrp for a working updater.. :emoji_upside_down:

Not what I meant, you can also manually select an update package using the menu in the Updater app. It should then reboot and flash it.
Obviously you can always reboot to TWRP and flash it manually, but still, it's a broken feature nonetheless.

Oh ok, thanks. I actually ~never updated that way, I thought it wasn't the "safe way" to update on my mi 10 (~always used the twrp only method and recently started updating without otg). :emoji_thumbsup: :emoji_thumbsup:

I've tried every TWRP and PitchBlack for K30 Ultra (cezanne) that I can find. It's on MIUI 12.0.20 (latest) with unlocked bootloader. Every attempt to flash custom recovery just reverts back to Redmi-Recovery 3.0.
"fastboot boot" is an unrecognised command so can't boot the image directly.
Is there a working custom recovery for the latest MIUI version?

Doesn't sound like anything is wrong with the custom recoveries you tried.
Recovery being reverted to stock is absolutely normal on official ROMs, you can't bypass this unless you modify the ROM.

Figured it out. My phone boots into fastbootd or fastboot depending on which method I use. If I boot into fastboot then I can use "fastboot boot"
With that I can hold the volume up + power combo and it'll boot TWRP.
Sorted now, got Magisk installed on the latest official ROM.
