Unable to install latest firmware via Updater app

My K20 pro is currently at firmware 12.5 and I'm trying to update to the latest version via the Updater app. I am able to download the firmware (12.11) but clicking on the YES button to start the update process doesn't work or is not responding. Im still able to go back to the previous screen so the phone isn't totally unresponsive. Manual selection of the firmware via the three dots has the same outcome. How can i fix this?

Using the updater app is not mandatory.

You can boot to TWRP and select the downloaded ROM (in the root of the internal storage) to start the update process.

When flashing is done, reboot your device.

There is nothing to unselect, flash ROM and reboot.
