Hello, I`ve recently bought Redmi note 4 global version(SD625) 3gb/32gb. Model code 2016102 and manufactured 2017.09
The phone arrived in sealed box with eu charger as expected.
Out of the box it had MIUI 8.5 global stable and updated instantly to 8.5.8.0. Switched to MIUI 9 7.10.19 global beta with updater and wanted to unlock in order to flash xiaomi.eu.
Surprisingly when tried to enable oem unlock in dev settings it always went back to disabled, then checked device lock status and it stated "unlocked". Verified this with miflashunlock which replied "no need to unlock this device" meaning already unlocked.
Without problems flashed mido twrp and xiaomi.eu 7.10.19 rom
What do you think about this? Is this a factory unlocked device? Has anything changed in bootloader lock policy on Xiaomi`s side? Has anyone else received unlocked device?
