Update MIUI 10 (stable) in the future to MIUI 11 without wipe and struggle via OTA?

I bought a brand new Redmi Note 7 for my dad who will use it as daily driver.
I only want set it up once.
So let's say I flash the latest stable MIUI 10 ROM on it, will he be able to receive MIUI 11 in the future (I know, it isn't ready yet) via OTA and without any struggle or wiping?

Hope you can help me guys, I'm new to all this XIAOMI.eu ROMs.

If you are using the latest Stable EU rom, U just need to FOTA (it's available in Settings >> My device >> MIUI version >> Check >> Update) without wiping anything but it's recommended that u backup your data before upgrading to new version.
* In case of that you want to backup. Settings >> My device >> Backup & Reset >> Local Backups >> Backup >> OK.

No, you need TWRP for updating via OTA.

You don't need to factory reset for updating xiaomi.eu ROM, like any ROM. ^^
