v1.6.10 desktop restore problem (DESIRE)

noticed that after doing a backup of the desktop layout then attempting to restore the layout backup it would not change the desktop icons at all.

example i did a backup of just the layout then moved a few icons and did the restore. after this the icons were still in the new positions i.e. had not been restored

Hello ... i have the same problem after restore of my MIUI 1.5.27-BACKUP.

Old MIUI-backups (V1.5.27) are not 100% compatible with MIUI V1.6.10.
- not all Desktop-Folders are restored!
- one of my restored folders leads to Launcher-error followed with Launcher restart, when an icon is placed in this folder.

I have solved the problem: Remove the icons from the folder, delete the folder and create a new one .

I found 1.6.3 will restore the older desktop layout with folders.

The workaround is to create a empty folder before running the desktop restore in miui backup?

I received word the miui backup bug is going to be fixed at next release but I am not sure if older backups will restore.
