When will Xiaomi Mi2(S) receive the MIUI update to KitKat 4.4???

Linpack.. Antutu, its not about benchmark. My hd7870 ghz is better than a gt660, but in many games I get wroster perfomance! Why? Because the driver are not optimized! This I what I m trying to say. Regarding thermal, is more aggressive that you think with the standard hotplug. Its not a mere hardware run. In google hands, mi2s shure will go better than nexus 4. But now its not the case (unless you don't flash m1cha cyanogen)

The problem is not only the old android version, but miui itself. Try Stock Android QDT14 official from Xiaomi and you will see a huge difference.
Even miui V4 worked way better than v5 in terms of performance.
I think that Xiaomi has increased his catalogue of phones (x3) without investing enough in more engineers.

How can you abandon your best device, the device that made you famous, the reason why a lot of people (including me) moved to Xiaomi and its fabolous MIUI always up-to-date.

Mi3 is not a success, you can read on MIUI forum of people that have a lot of bugs, while Xiaomi launch MIUI for Nexus or adds banana functions to the rom. And meanwhile Mi2/S is stuck to 4.1. SHAME ON YOU XIAOMI.

If it weren't for CM 11 I would have sold the phone. Miui is buggy, always the same, heavier than before, with security issues and out-of -date despite the so called weekly (un)updates....

Maybe, as I read from linuxx, we will never get official 4.4 from Xiaomi, and if it will arrives will be already outdated.
Every HTC, Samsung, even LG flagships with same specs have at least 4.3 on board. Just our MI2S has been left alone.

Xiaomi, follow markets rules if you want but please don't act like this. It's not fair. Otherwise don't get bad if you will be compared to Apple...

foolish to enjoy if the company does not appreciate their customers. The camera pictures is trash and MIUI KK based slower than 4.1 offs. We have no choice, but we must understand that this is not normal. Meizu MX2 received the update, and we bought a 4.1 and still with 4.1

I wonder why the Mi2 series are still on 4.1. Looking at Xiaomi's Chinese forums, the Mi2(S) seems to be a very popular device which a lot of people own. One would think it would have gotten 4.3 or 4.4 by this time. I'm not sure on which Android versions MIUI V6 will run, but I can't imagine they will keep a JB 4.1 branch around this time. Support for Mi1 will problably end I guess and Mi2 will be updated to at least 4.4 I would say.

But for now, we can only speculate unfortunately.

I personally don't really mind that I'm still on 4.1, but there are getting more and more apps that just won't run on anything below 4.3/4.4.

Or try Mokee open source, in my opinion one of the best KK roms for our phone.
Of course its no Miui but its quite smoother with less battery drain.
