Wipes With Updater App?

Hi,
I'm always confused with which wipes i have to perform when updating my mi5 with newer xiaomi.eu rom via the updater app...
If i want to keep all my data and settings can i do the following:
I will copy the rom i want to instal to the smartphone and then i use the app, the phone reboots to twrp and then i will choose cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe, then i will install the rom and at the end of the process i will perfom a dalvik cache wipe.
Is that correct?

You don't have to wipe anything when you just flash a newer version without big Android version or MIUI version change. Neccesary wipes are done by the script.
