I have Xiaomi 12 with a similar ROM and the device is sitting at 30 degrees in a hot summer climate.
I don't have your issue.

My father has a Xiaomi 12 official Rom.
After update to hyperos2 he has the same issues .
Maybe a factory reset will help

If this problem has been reported 8 days ago, a Xiaomi.eu lead developer doesn't have this problem thus he has nothing to fix, and Xiaomi hasn't released a new version, then what is your guess?

Had a feeling this would be the answer but just wanted to double check before upgrading. Going from miui 14 and everything is working ok at the moment. Just don't want to mess everything up
