Hey fellow forum members,

I hope you're all doing well. I recently thinking to upgrade my Xiaomi 12T Pro (DITING) to Android 14 using HyperOs, and I have a few questions that I'd like some guidance on.

  1. TWRP Recovery Compatibility: Before the upgrade, I was running Android 13 with TWRP recovery. After switching to Android 14 with HyperOs, I'm wondering if the TWRP recovery will be replaced with the stock recovery? Has anyone experienced this issue? If not replaced, does TWRP recovery still function correctly on Android 14?
  2. Bootloader Lock: I had previously unlocked the bootloader on my device. I'm concerned that upgrading to HyperOs might relock the bootloader. Can anyone confirm if this happens, or if the bootloader remains unlocked after the HyperOs update?
I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share regarding these questions. Your help will be invaluable as I navigate these changes with my Xiaomi 12T Pro.

Thanks in advance!

1) TWRP will not be replaced by stock recovery. You will still be left with TWRP A13. You will have to update TWRP A14 manually.
Installing HyperOS/TWRP is the same as you did with MIUI.

First instal the official China rom (diting_images_OS1.0.2.0.ULFCNXM_20231225.0000.00_14.0_cn_fd43607a5f), fastboot mode, use MiFlash v2018.5.28.0 or MiFlash20220507, never check "clean all and lock", recommend "clean all", when finish, boot your cellfone and select only English language, (unlocked Mi account with your password) then. reboot in fastboot mode, and use on windows PC, the xiaomi.eu rom, "xiaomi.eu_multi_DITING_OS1.0.2.0.ULFCNXM_os1-14"
and run double click the file: windows_fastboot_first_install_with_data_format.bat .
