Hi Guys!

I have a Xiaomi Red Rice with me. I think it's a fake/copy as I wasn't able to flash CWM Recovery using MobileUncle tool.

I was actually trying to make Google Play work. I tried many solutions present here as well as on my own but, no success. And I finally ended up in semi-bricking the device when I tried to copy paste Original Xiaomi Hongmi ROM files in my device's system folder using Root Explorer. Now, my phone is stuck at MI boot logo.

So, is there any chance to bring back my device? Any help is appreciated.

The Serial & IMEI numbers do not match with the box. I just want to install any stable ROM with Google Play Store.

  1. Guide me to install Official ROM
  2. In case the Official ROM doesn't work, guide me to install Unofficial ROM

I have WCDMA HONGMI AND I HAVE stock ROM installed and my recovery is CWM (English). I JUST GOT SYSTEM OTA UPDATE NOTIFICATION, "JHBCNAH4.0" available. But when I download it, it goes to the recovery mode to flash the OTA and gives the error, assert failed (ro product..... ) Installation Aborted.
I tried the following steps.
1. I again downloaded the OTA
2. I disabled signature-check and also disabled assert.

I think I need the official MIUI recovery for this purpose.
Can you please provide me with the solution?

Hello... anybody there? We need Stock Firmware that can be flashed either via Stock Recovery or other update tool

Hi ,

I have brought the hongmi just a day back. The phone has the same problem. when i update from sd card it shows error : partition not match.
I used mobile uncle tools and found that my processor is 6587 instead of 6589. Just wandering is it an older hardware of hongmi?
I cant use it for update to 4.2.2 .
Aman have you found any solution ?

Regards
Nishikanta

Its not an older firmware - its just a fake, thats all.

No man.. mine's still f**kin dead.

And don't brick your phone like I did. Just use it as it is.

It's Christmas don't forget people have stuff to do aside from here.
I decided not to get a hongmi as it looked like support on here was let's say more patchy than for mi2/3
I hope you do get it fixed

I bought in www.aliexpress.com

Seller claimed that sells original Xiaomi. And at first glance it really looks like that. In Android "About phone" menu is the correct model and parameters. The system is original MIUI, copied from Chinese TD-CDMA version with added English language.
But when you install any software to check the hardware (eg CPU-Z) you find out that many of the parameters does not match, eg CPU, GPU, resolution ...

Hey I have also bought an phone from aliexpress , but haven't reported it yet, (right now I m playing with the fake phone)
Is there a possibility to flash recovery?
Thanks in advance

sorry friend, I don't think anything done here is meant for fake red rice's.
Report your fake phone and demand full refund + the shipping costs if you have to ship it back.
Hope you also learn the lesson of buying expensive things from Aliexpress...
Get you money back and buy a real red rice.
You can do it for example from Antelife.com our Merimobiles etc
