1. Copy app to /system/app, overwrite original, set permissions to rw-r-r.

2. Copy the other files to /system/lib and replace, then set permissions to rw-r-r.

3. Reboot.

Here you are...
Just follow Ubelai instructions on 2nd post

Does it improve miui camera quality or install another camera app? I saw chinese forum but I'm a bit skeptical that it improves THAT MUCH picture quality.

Thanks

hmm.. I don't see any differences between original Camera.apk and this modified.. result is the same for me.

At the second step, remember to delete the old file named ".ODEX"
This app doe not contain a signature, so you can not install it directly...

The author says the detail is much clear, you can compare bouth pictures focus on the motor bike, so the quality is improved.

that's ok that the author says and show that pictures but when I tried this camera apk the result was the same as before. When I set more sharpnes on the old camera, the result is almost the same as mentioned above.

Has anyone noticed how auto ISO functions? Seems to pick a higher ISO than needed 80% of the time unless in completely full light, resulting in grainy as hell images.

Flick it to 100 ISO and see how much better the image turns out.

I did not try that way. I've downgraded to JLB7.0, the V5 series rom are quite disappointing...

Yes, when there is sufficient light, 100ISO is good choice.

I kinda like the candy bar style they went for on v5. No way I would downgrade.
