and then wipe cache & dalvik cache & then flash cm 10.1
Now check your call quality.... it should improve as per Mr.Phani's advice...

Are u sure that u're pressing vol + key?
If yes connect your phone at PC and do
fastboot flash recovery [clockworkmod recovery's xxx.img]
